Do you live with the mindset that every area of your life should reflect the beauty, purity, and order of Christ? In your work, your habits, your service in the church—even the condition of your home—are you intentionally striving to honor God, fully believing that everything you do will one day be presented into the hands of Jesus?

It is far too easy for us to fall into the patterns of the world, where mediocrity and a lack of purpose dominates. Yet as followers of Christ, we have been given a divine purpose and a holy ambition. The gospel has freed us from a life of complacency and personal kingdom building so that we can be a part of God's redemptive work that is much bigger than ourselves. As children of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, we have no excuses. Our deepest needs have already been met in Christ. With our eyes fixed on our eternal home, we are called to use every gift and ability God has given us to serve Him with excellence.

Take a moment to ask yourself: Is the way I am living pleasing to Christ? Are my daily choices, attitudes, and habits pointing others to the beauty and worth of my Savior? Ask God to search your heart and reveal any areas that need to be cleansed or realigned with His order, so that you may live each day with a heart of excellence—unto the glory of God.
