The King's Honor

“Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, for all his works are right and his ways are just; and those who walk in pride he is able to humble.” Daniel 4:37

In that pivotal moment, the man once deemed the most powerful in the world came to the profound realization that worship belongs not to oneself, but to God. It is pride that drives us to draw attention to ourselves, yet it is through the surrender of this self-will to God that true believers find liberation. When God's will supplants our own, it is then that we experience the fullest measure of freedom and joy.
