Faith in the Greatness of God

Even when we read incredibly encouraging promises from God's Word, we still might feel anxious, mad, burnt out, and restless if we do not deal with the underlying stress that we're carrying on a daily basis. Chronic stress blocks our eyesight so we cannot see the greatness of God. It leads us to magnify our problems and project our weaknesses, frailty, and limitations onto the Lord because we feel so helpless about situations that lie outside of our control. In Isaiah 40, God invites us to lift our gaze upwards to behold His infinite mind and inexhaustible power. Do you realize that God never grows weary or tired? That His wisdom and understanding stretches far beyond what we can comprehend? He does not stand aloof or oblivious to the injustices done against you. The same God who created the stars and knows them each by name, holding all of them in the sky so that none of them are missing, is watching over you with utmost care and attention. You are incredibly precious in His sight, and He will never abandon or forsake you. This promise alone is more than enough to relieve all your anxieties. When you meditate on God's immense love and the sheer magnitude of His power, the stresses weighing upon your heart will be lifted, and you will then experience the true freedom and joy that only comes with trusting in God.
